Hiking and mountaineering tours with our cabins as your base, holidays in Styria
In summer, our cabins are an ideal base for numerous hikes as well as challenging mountaineering tours. Our most famous local peak – with magnificent panoramas – is the Pleschnitzzinken at 2112 meters | ca. 1-hour climb, also an uncomplicated hike for children.
For something more challenging, we suggest the route leading from the Pleschnitzzinken past the Scheibeck (2117m) to the Schoberspitze (2491m) | Round-trip hiking time ca. 6 – 7 hours.
The ultimate hiking tour takes you to the Hohe Wildstelle (2747m). This is the highest peak in Styria. You have two options for the hike up there, both of which require good physical condition and alpine experience.
There is also a marked tour to the Steirischer Bodensee (Forellenhof), a jewel in the heart of the Schladming – Dachstein Region….
If you do you ever feel the urge to go down into the valley, numerous sightseeing attractions await you in the nearby region.
One absolute must is the Adventure Park in Gröbming, the biggest of its kind in all of Austria.
For those days when the weather isn't quite as nice as it could be, two nearby spa resorts promise a soothing, relaxed and pleasant excursion: Grimming Therme and Therme amadé, or perhaps you would prefer to pay a visit to the Ski World Cup metropolis of Schladming (ca. 25 km away).
The world's biggest monastic library in Admont is a popular & memorable attraction located in the Schladming-Dachstein Region as well.
